Kushti

 

 

Kushti, or pehlwani, is a traditional form of wrestling practiced in Pakistan, India, and New Delhi, derived from the Persian style of wrestling, on which (I think) the Greeks also modeled their sport.  Kushti involves rigorous training and preparation, practices which, by tradition, are as unique and important as the rules and outcomes of the matches themselves.
