Jack Brisco, 1941-2010
Jack Brisco died today, from complications following open-heart surgery. He was a hero of mine back in the 1970s, when I used to watch him on Florida Championship Wrestling. He was a handsome, strong, and noble presence in the pro wrestling world back then--responsible for the comeuppances of many a shifty, cowardly, and arrogant heel.
A hero of mine, too, back in my student days in St. Louis. He was really hot, and like Brad Armstrong, he had all the fluid moves of a natural-born wrestler.
