Battle Royal

Usually battle royals don't interest me--they're a big mess--and the action and drama usually get lost in the clutter.  They look like they'd be more fun to participate in than to watch.  Photographer Paparazzo managed to get some good shots of some of my favorite wrestlers (Mathews, Steeler, and Taven) at this NWA on Fire battle royal on June 18th in Mexico, Maine.  The special match was to decide who would challenge Bobby Robinson for the heavyweight championship.  Matt Taven won the battle royal, but he failed to unseat the champion.  These are about the best shots I've ever seen of Cameron Mathews; the man seems to get better with age.
