Steven Walters

I can't think of a better definition today of a Southern pro wrestler than NWA Anarchy's Steven Walters, 24, 6', 208#. This guy's cut right out of the mold of the wrestlers I grew up on--Jack Brisco, Ron Fuller, Barry Windham, Dory Funk Jr. In pro rings since age 15, Walters is burly, sweaty, aggressive, and 100% Grade-A male. He's not the kind of guy to seek out his inner child or make excuses for himself--the man, though still young, is a full-on adult dose of butch.

Currently holding the NWA Anarchy TV championship, Walters alongside partner Seth Delay fought Mike Posey and Corey Hollis this past Saturday. Hollis pinned Walters and demanded a title shot, so this coming Saturday at Season's Beatings in Cornelia, Georgia, all four men will be in the ring in a ladder match, gunning for the belt. I like Hollis, Delay, and Posey just fine, but I want to see the big metal shield on Walters' tummy for a while longer. (Photos credit: NWA Anarchy)
