Two Enter, One Leaves
New kid Dakota Bravo fancies himself a UFC kind of guy. Probably, he fancies himself a Thunderdome kind of guy, only without the chainsaw, spiked mace, sledgehammer, and guandao. He prefers unarmed combat, along the lines of "two men enter, one man leaves." I'm not sure if he talked the idea up at UCW, but if he did, I bet he was surprised who stepped up to the challenge: Axel.
The two fighters don lightweight gloves, and go at it in the cinderblock arena. The usual UCW rule applies (only the one rule): don't kill (unlike the Thunderdome). Only this time the stakes are higher than usual. The fight's not over till only one of the fighters can walk out of the garage on his own two feet. Axel's fitter, Dakota's bigger. I'd say Dakota's meaner too, but then there's always the nagging question of Axel's dark side--Bambi on the outside, ninja assassin on the inside? That one's always a stumper.
My bet ia that Dakota DIDN'T walk out. Ethan may look like just another pretty boy face but the heart of a merciless heel lerks within. Not only ia Ethan ruthless on the mats but he has a mean streak 20 miles wide

ReplyDeleteI don't know who won, but I'm rooting for Dakota. I like a lot of what he's doing to Ethan, who deserves the punishment. I thought the final image was promising of the ending.
check it out. axel takes control early in the match locking his legs around dakota's neck but dakota lifts axel off the matt and slams him breaking the hold. later, axel has dakota in a devastating leg lock but again dakota battles through the pain and reverses axel's hold. great match axel's athletic abilities against brute strength. i've not seen him against such a formatable opponent.

ReplyDeleteOf my least favorite RHW heels (Ethan, Chris Cox, Eli Black) only the last has become more physically impressive and marginally interesting. So far on NK, he's been in his proper place as a jobber. I like seeing his opponents destroy then screw him!
yeah, i had to check out the match again. axel is ripped and confident but dakota is bigger and strong. he also likes to fight. he can absorb axel's attack and give it right back. at one point axel says "fuck". ha ha. great match up
Deletegood fight! axel is skilled and cocky. dakota is a good match for him. his power and size even out the odds a bit.
ReplyDeletethis is an exciting matching. ufc like. I enjoy when Axel breaks in new guys. Axel has the skill and calm confidence but a dark side as well. Axel appears sleek and confident in his gamer like tights. Dakota however, is like Axel's dark side on steroids. not sure Axel has ever faced such an oponent. great match up
