Knock Wood

Scrappy McNair vs Kenny Star, Catalog 20 - All Out Brawl! (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

Kenny with his million-dollar smile takes on Scrappy with his million-dollar pecs in a 32-minute all-out brawl that gets un-friendly fast. After the smiles wear off, the trunks tear off, and Star and McNair wrestle in jocks.

Kenny's the bigger of the two. He has a winsome smile that looks neither affected nor naïve. There's mischief in his smile, and I like that. He resembles Butch (Tommy Bond), the neighborhood bully in the Our Gang comedies of the 1930s. Kenny doesn't come off as the bullying kind, though. I like his solid, even earthy build, too. It's a body built for roughhouse.

Scrappy is on a whole other plane from every other wrestler in the underground. Winning or losing, Scrappy gives a match his full attention and radiates health and positive energy. His movie-star good looks do not stop him from getting down and dirty in a fight. What he lacks in technique he makes up for in moxie. He would be a spectacle even if all he did was stand there, yet he throws himself entirely into each and every fight. He is a phenomenon.

MuscleBoy's catalog copy sums it up well, saying, "This one is a half naked back and forth that will please Kenny's fans and give wood to all of Scrappy's fans (which is pretty much the entire known universe)." That's no exaggeration. Scrappy breaks Kenny into his new digs with one of the best knock-down-drag-outs of either man's career.
