Christian Thorn vs Ethan Andrews, Catalog 2 (NHB Fights)

Christian Thorn is stunningly beautiful. On top of that, he's a top-notch grappler. What distinguishes him most, though, is the playful spirit he brings to the mat. His steps have bounce, he smiles easily, he almost always is having a good time. The guy is sexy as fuck, too, but I sense no attitude or self-consciousness. From all I've seen and heard, he's a nice guy.

Ethan Andrews is a nice guy, too, and a top-notch grappler, a few notches higher than Christian on most days. He's more reserved than Christian, but he possesses keen instincts. It's as if he senses an opponent's next move the way most of us feel heat against the skin. When he latches onto another wrestler, I sense that he's reading the guy's body temperature and pulse rate, intuiting the guy's thoughts and mental state and springing like a trap the moment the other wrestler even thinks about shifting his weight. (That jack-in-the-box fifth GIF, for instance.)

On the mat Ethan and Christian are phenomenal. Even if there were no score cards, they'd still be a kick to watch. In this match their scores run neck and neck almost to the end of the match. They'd make a terrific tag team. They are fascinating to watch against each other, too.  This match, in particular, tells us everything we need to know about these guys and everything we need to know about submission wrestling.
