Beach Bodies in Action

Jett Bentley vs Drew Harper, Get Off My Beach! (88Wrestling)

Though the entire match is indoors in a wrestling ring, 88's catalog description asks us to imagine Drew Harper and lifeguard Jett Bentley on a beach at the end of a long hot summer's day. As the sun settles on the horizon and the crowd thins out, Jett spots Drew passed out and orders him to leave with the other sun-worshippers. Drew refuses, wanting to catch the last rays to deepen his honey tan. Jett insists. Drew digs his heels in and responds, "If you're gonna make me leave, then make me leave."

Jett peels off his sleeveless shirt, putting v-shaped lats and broad shoulders on full display. He turns, and we see the smooth chest and hard, silky abs. Always in top condition, Jett has expanded since his 88 debut three or so years ago. He is drop-dead hot. Harper is bigger and heavier, ready to stand his ground. But Jett is a revelation, so much more self-assured these days, though still more aloof than most 88 wrestlers. In seconds, he  slaps Drew's back to the ring floor. I live to see Drew Harper on his back, tan chest and abdomen thrusting upward. I like it better when he's sweating and grimacing, transfixed in an opponent's grip. That happens soon enough.

It looks like this could be Jett's breakout match. He's more expressive now, though he still lacks Drew's intensity. Drew's grimace serves double duty, signaling both his wholehearted attempt to vanquish Jett and his suffering in Jett's clutches. Jett proves he can control the big guy. In fact, he exults in his attempts to destroy the guy. He's somewhat less expressive under duress, but puts out more emotionally than he has in previous matches. His last couple of fights have shown him in the process of coming to his own at 88. In Get Off My Beach!  he reaches his personal best to date.
