Animal vs Brix, Mat Wars 159 (Thunders Arena)

The new and improved Animal at Thunders Arena challenges the ubiquitous Brix, whom he accuses of stealing money. Animal is sturdily built, so much so that Brix can't make any headway against the guy. The 23-minute match gives Brix no opportunity to get the upper hand. The thief or "accused thief" gets his ass thoroughly kicked. In the end, Animal suspends him with one hand on the throat, choking him out, hangman style, a throwback to vigilante justice.

The star of this show is Animal's remarkable physique. The new guy's built thick and solid, and he shows Brix no mercy. His destruction of Brix appears to require no effort. There's no struggle, unless wriggling like a worm on a sharp hook counts as a defense. Animal shows almost no emotion. He disposes of Brix almost effortlessly, like squashing a spider with the toe of one's shoe. Between attacks, Animal poses for the camera, looking sullen and a little bored. Destroying Brix is so easy, Animal disposes of him almost absent-mindedly.

Animal is delicious. If I were casting The Cliff Conlin Story, I'd pick him for the leading role. He may be the most collectedly physical fighter on the Thunders Arena roster.
