Ray Harryhausen, 1920-2013
The stop-motion animator and special-effects wizard who brought to life the most memorable inter-species battles of my childhood died today. It's perhaps a stretch to honor Ray Harryhausen on a gay wrestling blog, but my imagination is as steeped in Jason and the Argonauts as it is in Championship Wrestling from Florida with Gordon Solie.
LOVED those skeletons! Sad news.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this post. I too was a big fan. One scene in Jason and the Argonauts I like was when they had to fight the giant bronze man/statue and defeated (pun, I guess) him by opening rear of his heel and the innards/fluids bled out.
