Scrappy McNair vs Taylor Reign, Catalog 17 - The Muscle Boys Call the Shots (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

The year has been Scrappy's from start to finish. In victory or distress, Scrappy sells wrestling as well as anybody in underground wrestling and far better than most. Through a wide range of emotions, he ignites any kind of match - mat or ring - in any role - heel or babyface. I shouldn't have been surprised by how well matched Taylor Reign is against him, but I admit I was, a little bit. Reign, too, has been proving himself of late as a wrestler to watch, outstripping most of his porn-star pals in resourcefulness and toughness.

Unlike too many underground wrestlers, Scrappy and Taylor take their matches seriously and have been conscientious students  of ring psychology since their debuts. You don't create a fight this crisp and gritty by farting around. Attacks and throws are well paced and executed with confidence and conviction. With a downward thrust (in the fourth GIF), Scrappy wipes the mat with Taylor's nose and mouth. Scrappy's punches  (second GIF) and backbreaker (fifth) could not be more dramatic or convincing. And Taylor's elevated reversal (seventh GIF) takes my breath away.

To say this is both men's best match at MuscleBoy or anywhere is really something  considering how stellar their previous matches are. It's true, though. The match is nothing less than a miracle with both athletes demonstrating nerves (and balls) of steel and committing 100 percent to the emotions and agonies of the fight.
