The Beast vs Steve Mason (Hunkswrestling)

Asphyxiation and outright skull smashing are the themes of this match. Our relentless hero, Steve Mason, takes on his biggest challenge to date in The Beast. The match veers between the plausible and oh-shit this-is-real. Handsome Steve is in peril for 85 percent of this match, but the guy is a fearless pursuer of mat thrills and takes on all comers. With The Beast, he may have bit off more than he can chew. But Steve is a resourceful grappler. Modest in his willingness to admit when he is licked, Steve nevertheless pushes himself to extreme limits before relenting. The guy loves to wrestle. That much is evident in his incautious fearlessness on the mat.

The Beast is big. Really big. And hairy. But he is no clumsy oaf. For a man his size, he is amazingly adroit, and as he demonstrates here, he is no poser. The guy wrestles. The guy is not here to show off his fine physique, but rather to beat up anybody crazy enough to challenge him to a fight. If his muscles pop in the process, so be it. His build determines his wrestling style; as expected, crushing and heaving are his go-to moves. Mason's best chance of defeating this force of nature is to choke him out, which appears to top Steve's game plan, but it's a strategy The Beast can employ as well, as the last GIF demonstrates.

Hunkswrestling seems to model itself on other European wrestling sites like the late great Fightroom, W&L, and, partly, Wrestle4aFee. These promotions focus on real grappling skills, much as NHB Fights has begun to do in North America, modeling itself on Movimus, son of NHB-Battle. The Beast is on loan from Paris-based Wrestlingmale. Mason recently toured a number of similar-minded US promotions: UCW and, as Mason Broder, Wrestler4Hire. Hunkswrestling is about mat wrestling, grappling, and seems to mix genuine wrestling with touches of play wrestling. The prices are reasonable, and I've found the product to be excellent.
