Muscle on the Mats

Scrappy vs Drew Harper, Muscle on the Mats (UnderGround Wrestler)

UnderGround Wrestler is open for business again. My last post on the site appeared in late 2019, so it's been about that long. The newly available matches appear to be a mix of vintage and recent, judging by Scrappy's haircuts. (Scrappy appears in all four new releases - not a bad thing - facing Drew Harper, Ethan Andrews twice, and CaliBoy.)

Scrappy and Drew have faced off at least five other times, perhaps more than five: I know only what's in the blog. They're what used to be called a Mutt and Jeff combo. Scrappy's Jeff is in better condition than the cartoon Jeff. The same can more or less be said of Drew's Mutt. (Kinda interesting that early twentieth-century Americans were fascinated with shorty Jeff, insane, and gangly Mutt, dimwitted, and their shared interest in horseracing.)

The action is familiar. The two compare biceps for size and hardness, which leads to arm wrestling, which leads to a test of strength, hands knotted together overhead. Then Drew kicks Scrappy in the balls, gaining control that's quickly lost once Scrappy returns to form. Scrappy and Drew have good chemistry, which is part of their allure. They are terrific performers, and watching them in action never gets old.
