Tetsuya Saruwatari
When I was a kid, I read Famous Monsters of Filmland and Mad. I wish I had saved them all; they'd be worth a mint today on eBay. As for regular comics, I picked up the occasional Superman, Archie, and Classics Illustrated. I never much took to comic books, though I liked them well enough. But looking at the work of mangaka Tetsuya Saruwatari, I realize that, had I been born forty years later, I would probably be a crazed addict.
