I'll Take Sweden

Chase Lundquist vs Sasha Savvin, King of the Ring - Preliminary 2 (88Wrestling)

I'm going with the Swede on this one. Lundquist is bigger and 25 pounds heavier than Savvin, not that that often matters in wrestling, but I like 'em tall and aggressive, so I take to Chase instinctively. He dominates Sasha for (I roughly estimate) 80 (or 88?) percent of the 23-minute match, but when Sasha gets going, he sparkles. He's not dubbed "The Showoff" for nothing. By contrast, Chase, "The Underwear Model,"  is a patient and merciless tormentor - that, too, is a point in Lundquist's favor.

This is the second of 88's releases to feature two newcomers in the ring and a second match for each wrestler, Sasha having faced Dash Decker, ex of Rock Hard Wrestling, and Chase having faced Tanner Hill, another RHW ex. These two are also the first to appear a second time with the new company. There's plenty of action in this showdown, some hard sweat, too, though the drama and suspense are on the light side. We get some good shots of the action, but camerawork is an area I'd like to see 88Wrestling improve upon: I want closeups of agonized faces and light glinting off sweaty navels, goddammit, to say nothing of bulges and heaving muscles so close I can almost feel the body heat.

  1. Couldn't agree more regarding the lack of closeups. That's my biggest complaint with 88's product.

    1. We appreciate your feedback. We're already working on improvements for our next filming that will include more closeups, better lighting, and perhaps a new ring! Stick with us, our videos will continue to improve!

  2. Not only is the absence of close-ups. The worst thing is that the general plans are captured too far and, on the other hand, the keys or supports last very little time and the brevity of those keys prevent you from enjoying them with tranquility ... I think if you do not clean all these things , the web will end up closing and it's a shame because the wrestlers have a fantastic body.
