See How Scrappy Really Works

Jesse Zane vs Scrappy McNair, Catalog 19 - Muscle Boys Go At It (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

Nobody exhibits his body more effectively than Scrappy. For the past 16 months MuscleBoy has given Scrappy not only a last name, but a platform for his artwork in progress, which is Scrappy himself. The artist and the masterpiece are one and the same. There are bigger, more chiseled physiques in underground wrestling, but none curate limbs, ass, eyes, hair, nose, lips, and navel better. He has invented himself as something beyond posing, wrestling, and sucking cock. He is sine qua non - no other wrestler is like him. Consider the dozen or so facial expressions he condenses into five seconds in the second GIF above. Who else does that? Or the intricate undulations of the GIF below? They're like the facets of a diamond held up to the light.

The third GIF above shows Scrappy right after he turns the tables on the obviously superior wrestler. Lips to Jesse Zane's ear, he purrs the sentence that is the title of this post: "See how Scrappy really works."  Then he plunges his fist into Jesse's gut. Doing things his own way and in his own baroque style is how Scrappy works. Lots of wrestlers sell, most of them selling the way most other wrestlers sell, but nobody sells like Scrappy. Scrappy takes chances. Most pay off, some do not. For instance, he still takes a clumsy and unconvincing bump occasionally, but his taut writhings in Jesse's masterful clasp make up for any weakness in pro-style moves.

Scrappy exists beyond categories like heel and babyface. He has a nasty and sadistic side, but he looks like an angel in a children's bible story. He's small but powerfully built. In some respects, he's a perennial rookie - accumulating years of experience but still projecting a naive approach to the combat situations he's thrust into. Will he ever become a veteran? I imagine so, but I can't imagine it. I will say he is a constant learner in the arts of wrestling and charming a camera. Few underground wrestlers take the work as seriously as he does. In each new match, Scrappy seems to have something new to show us. He keeps improving, though by now he could probably rest on the laurels he's already gathered.

  1. Scrappy is special!

Most of the time, I root for him, even when he's his most heelish, but , against a worthy opponent, I enjoy him being dominated.

  2. Yes! You nailed it. Scrappy always reminded me of something or someone but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then you put into words what I was trying to think of: "he looks like an angel in a children's bible story." YES! That's it -- you got it.

  3. I love how cocky and confident Scrappy can be. He wrestles like a demon and sells his opponents holds like QVC host. He pushes, prods and taunts his opponents, forcing them to step up and break this muscle stud or get broken in return.

You are correct, there is a seriousness in the way Scrappy wrestles, but he knows his audience and knows how to work not only his opponent, but the viewer as well.
