RedJay's Demise

Now that I'm hooked, I can't remember why it took me so long to warm up to Hard Heroes. Though Burt Ward's Robin gave me hard-ons when I was thirteen, I follow the DC and Marvel universes with only mild interest. Once or twice I had checked out Ron Sexton's Hard Heroes site out of curiosity without downloading anything. Perhaps I thought the heroes and villains were overdressed. RedJay's Demise  (the title is a spoiler) caught my eye because of new stars Dan Parker and Carter Jones, whose physiques remind me of early Jimmy Dean. The slim but sinewy bodies are well displayed as Dark Lord (Dan) strips RedJay (Carter) of his cape, his mask, and his bikini by turns, thus destroying the superhero by first stripping him of his disguise.

The 20-minute battle occurs in a misty space, heavy with shadows, that is one part dungeon, one part engine room of the Nostromo. It's about perfect for an S&M encounter of this sort. Parker's Dark Lord speaks in sharp, raspy barks befitting a supervillain engaged in the demolition of a demigod. Jones's RedJay is not altogether helpless and sometimes strikes back strongly and effectively, but his demise is certain from the opening credits.

Maybe what really drew me to this match was the hair-pulling, face-biting, eye-gouging, fish-hooking of nostrils, scratching, strangling, and sweating - for me, dependable lures for erotic fights of any kind. It helps that the battlers are well matched in build - and it's blond versus brunet, a favorite pairing of types (the bad guy has dark hair, of course)! The action is well paced, balancing drawn-out punishments and thrashing with sudden reversals and body slams. In the third GIF below we see Parker strip Jones of his white mask in a snapmare (while reclining, no less) - a strong turning point in the fight. And what better way to shuffle off this mortal coil than a quick snap of the neck while caught between Dark Lord's thighs? Yum!

  1. A wise writer recently was describing a match and the following line of the review stuck with me…
“… many of the gay gym rats and porn stars arrive with too little training to exude this level of pizzazz…”

I’ve found that to be true with wrestlers in costume…

I’m one of those folks that follow the Marvel Universe in all its forms with fevered interest, however “rassling” in the guise of those or other heroes has never really worked for me (examples include some of what was produced for W4H and other sites) but this Hard Heroes seems like another direction and I’m definitely intrigued. Interesting post (as usual)
