I think what's really strange is that I've never met a homophobic WRESTLER in my limited time within the industry. Not a single wrestler objected to the "Gay Wrestling" title because they know what's up or else it would have never left a brainstorming session. In fact, a lot of the behind-the-scenes humor is lightheartedly centered around the homo-erotic nature of combat sports. If anything, it really is the promoters who are perpetuating the stereotypes that plague your community.
