Jimmy Snuka vs Kevin Von Erich, 5 September 1981 (Georgia Championship Wrestling)

A true-life fan fantasy here as Kevin squares off against his role model Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. The ending is just the worst sort of awful, as far as I'm concerned, but the preceding minutes shows why these two wrestlers were stars in their day. Kevin later took to wrestling barefoot reportedly because Jimmy went barefoot, though both fighters are still in boots for this contest. According to Wikipedia, Kevin also often copied Jimmy's off-the-top-rope body splash ("The Superfly"). At the fight's climax, however, Snuka tries on an old Von Erich trick, the claw hold, but Kevin furiously reclaims the family heirloom claw as his own.
