Return to Flex City

Zack Johnathan vs Tanner Hill, Flex City (88Wrestling)

88's web site labels Zack Johnathan as "new," but for faithful followers the man is an underground wrestling institution and an ageless one at that. Over the last ten years he has been a distinguished face in online wrestling and one of the first wrestlers to succeed at multiple promotions - under a number of monikers capitalizing on the letter Z. Equally legendary, though not for as long, Tanner Hill is worshiped for his awesome physique and hot, often out-of-control temper. Last year we saw him flexing and jousting with Rex Bedford. Here he is in a second "Flex City," matching muscle and savagery with Zack.

I did not expect the two to be as well-matched as they prove to be. Zack has more experience, and Tanner has more clutch. Based on their wrestling history, neither is a shoo-in for a victory in this 28-minute contest, which overlaps posing and some of the fiercest punishments 88 has ever caught on camera. The end result is a fast-paced match with a nail-biter of a final minute, which begins with equal odds of victory for either and ends with a decisive and brutal backbreaker finisher. As the match's catalog description puts it, "This match is about muscles, ego, ring savvy, and head games." On that last point I would add that manipulation and intimidation equally determine who wins this one. More than that, I will not say.

  1. Another DREAM MATCH, with two all-time faves, great bodies, and gorgeous faces! Adonis vs Adonis, Biceps vs Biceps. Also great to see a rematch of their first at RHW over 3 years ago, when Tanner was also gorgeous, but has put on many beautiful pounds of muscle since then. You can really get your money's worth by watching in slo-mo, as well :) The only thing I would have included in the match was some hot (real) armwrestling!! Thank you 88W and Skull Island!
Next rematch request from some company: Zack vs bigger & better Scrappy (first match was at Thunders in 2017, right about when Scrappy started to pack it on!).
