Knocked for a Loop

Scrappy McNair vs Dax Carter, Catalog 14 - The Muscle Boys Get Erotic (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

"Look who's back, right?" Scrappy sweet-talks his bouncing biceps like they're his lovers or pets, thus nudging muscle worship to new levels of self-objectification. His deep bedroom-y voice brings phone sex to the wrestling mat. Nowadays, Scrappy versus just-about-anybody sells like hotcakes . But with hairy Dax Carter (5'9", 240#) taking on Scrappy McNair  (5'7", 175#) in MuscleBoy's South Florida fightroom, we're looking at an Event with a capital E.

Dax, sexy sourpuss of underground wrestling, puts the compact bodybuilder down, saying, "Looks like you've lost  weight," and catches Scrappy by the scruff of his neck. In a matter of 10 seconds, Scrappy's face spins through a Rolodex of at least nine expressions - surprised, offended, pissed, intrigued, stupefied, asphyxiated, aroused, drained, and terrified. Expressiveness is as much a part of Scrappy's claim to fame as his physique and mat skills.

Dax choke-stretches Scrappy over his hip before slamming him to the mat. Dax enjoys the bully role and plays it large enough for the cheap seats to observe it in wonder. He is warming up as Scrappy gets back on his feet. When Scrappy veers towards him, Dax slams his elbow to McNair's ribs, sending the smooth muscle-boy reeling. He backs Scrappy to the wall for a round of knee jabs and forearm smashes that leave the curly-haired babyface wobbly on his feet.

Scrappy takes everything Dax throws at him. Far from intimidated, he promises payback, only to face more brutal beatings. This is Dax's show. Dax knows it, but apparently Scrappy does not. The two strip each other down to jockstraps. For the final 10 minutes, both men's bodies are glassy with sweat, buckets of it. As  we near the climax, MuscleBoy dangles the possibility of a Scrappy victory before our eyes. That's almost too cruel! I don't doubt that, under different circumstances, against another fighter, Scrappy would have the strength and know-how to turn the battle around, but Dax looks (let's face it) indestructible. Still, Scrappy has pulled himself out of worse fixes ...

These two have faced off before, at Scrappy's first home, Thunder's Arena, where Dax wrestles as Wildcard. Scrappy's gimmick at the Arena contrasts with his appearances at MuscleBoy, Wrestler4Hire, and  UnderGround Wrestler, where he has adopted a somewhat more reckless performance style. Every version of Scrappy is mouthwatering, but MuscleBoy's close quarters encourage a tighter focus and a more personal fight. I have seen eight of the ten matches of Catalog 14, and this one ties with Woods vs Riley and Costa vs Tyler as my favorite, not just because of Scrappy (he's a big reason, definitely) but also because of the vehemence with which Dax and he take each other on (see the GIFs and still shots below).
