Rise and Fall

Nic vs Kasee, To the Max (UnderGround Wrestler)

In his UGW debut, Nic squashes Kasee, but when Nic gets into the ring with Kasse  a second time, he pays for it hard. Nic is hot. He could pass as Kasee's cousin - the black sheep of the family, perhaps. And from the beginning, he shows a real taste for beating guys up. I know nothing about his actual background, but he shows promise as an underground wrestler - creative in a sadomasochistic way, strong enough to hurl Kasee across the ring, and sturdy enough to take a good hard licking in return. Let's just say I'm sold on the guy - and he brings out the best in handsome Kasee in these two matches.

For the past year, UnderGround Wrestler has been feeding Kasee to some pretty big dudes - guys like Draven, Brian Cage, The Mountain, and Pierce, mean guys without a sensitive cell in their bodies. It's a pleasure to see Kasee take on somebody in his own weight class, for a change, and he shines here as both victim and avenger. Especially in Smashed, the usually cool and detached young stud shows off his hotblooded side, delivering up payback and then some to his former tormentor and knocking the chip off the rookie's shoulder. If he keeps this up, I'll become a die-hard Kasee fan.

These two matches appear to have shot to the top of UGW sales immediately. In just a year, UnderGround Wrestler has made impressive advances in product quality - on both technical and creative fronts - synthesizing the best qualities of Thunder's Arena (UnderGround Wrestler's progenitor) and UCW to create a style of its own. It still has a way to go to match the more established sites' eye for new talent and pugnacity. I look forward to seeing  how Marco and company intend to grow and polish the promotion in the coming years.
