Zack Reno vs Derrick Cole, Match 792 - 2 Out of 3 Falls (UCW)

I'm calling this one UCW's best match ever. Reno and Cole are hot individually, volcanic when put together. Pals for ten years, they know each other better than anyone else does, which makes this 30-minute contest tricky. How do you defeat somebody who knows all your tricks, all your weaknesses, all the buttons to push? I haven't said it in a while, but the more two guys know about each other, the hotter the match. I present Zack versus Derrick as evidence.

The camera finds Zack Reno sitting against the corner ropes, pouting over his recent loss of the UCW championship to the original champion, Axel. He's kicking himself for letting Axel know all his weak spots, for trusting the seemingly trustworthy superstar with his private fears and anxieties. His loss of the belt four months ago is painful, but Axel's betrayal is even worse. Zack's hiding behind his Tom Cruise shades, feeling sorry for himself. Derrick Cole has heard enough, though. He's here to wrestle.

This match starts out strong. Derrick snatches off Zack's sunglasses and traps him in a side headlock. Once the match reaches the point where Derrick and Zack are drenched with sweat, it turns epic. With a history and physiques so perfectly matched together, Derrick and Zack throw caution to the wind (not all that unusual at UCW, but these bros rip caution to shreds). The ultimate victor is unpredictable, until BAM at the end, one guy clotheslines the other and, in a flash, rolls him up for a three count, then leaves him wet and gasping for air under the ropes.
