Martin versus Trelisse

It takes Tanner (in aqua and white trunks) 20 seconds to submit newcomer Braden (in dark red) with a full body scissors. It's a harsh introduction to Movimus for Braden, yet the recruit knows his advantages in this match - a low center of gravity and muscular legs - potential landmines for tall and slender Tanner.

In the rest of the 19-minute match (not counting the usual Movimus eye candy of stretches and asanas), the competition is as vigorous and intense as anything I've seen so far this year. It turns out that Tanner and Braden are marvelously matched.

What makes the two so well matched is not their similarities, but their differences. Trelisse's hairy thighs and calves are heavy-duty tools. Beyond converging at one of the best wrestler-butts I've seen in a while, they are formidable bone-crushers. By contrast, Martin's long, sinewy legs are both durable and flexible. They give him speed and leverage in binding and stretching Braden's squat, brawny physique. Tanner works at a tempo that Braden  finds difficult to keep up with.

There are some long tight clenches, but the lasting impression is of bodies in perpetual struggle, so there's maybe only one screen grab with no motion blur. The give and take is electric and invigorating, in part because, unlike high-flying pro wrestling, Tanner and Braden's moves still allow plenty of body contact, body heat, and writhing tension.
