Gabriel Cross vs Ethan Axel Andrews, Catalog 12 - The Muscle Boys Get Nasty (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

Probably only MuscleBoy could have made this match happen. It was a highly anticipated event, anticipated not least of all by the two wrestlers, who are big fans of each other's work. The excitement surrounding this contest can be felt in the video, which has a kind of giddy air about it, much like the atmosphere at an anxiously awaited rock concert ... or on one's first trip to Disneyland. 

Though my expectations for this match were measured, I am pleased with the final product, which pressures neither performer to operate outside his comfort zone. I admire Ethan's wrestling ability and Gabriel's gifts as an erotic entertainer, and their separate talents merge successfully here, beyond what I had expected.

The chemistry between the two has a touch of magic to it. There is fuzzy feel-good warmth to it - one senses the two hit it off because of the mutual respect they brought with them to the MBW fight space - and there is heat - the bristling energy of a long-awaited first meeting combined with the fact that Ethan reportedly pulls no punches in brutalizing Gabriel. As the Catalog 12 description puts it, "that's REAL pain Gabe is screaming about."
