Dirty Daddy vs Cena, Off the Ropes (UnderGround Wrestler)

UnderGround Wrestler has created a dandy Daddy vs BoyToy match - or Beauty vs Beast match, if you prefer. Dead-on casting is the secret here. Dirty Daddy is, in my opinion, the best heel in wrestling, and Cena is so hot right now that he's melting PayPal accounts across three different promotions. Beyond the casting, there's the gear - classic old-school black trunks for Daddy (perfection) and Rocky-Horror* gold trunks for Cena. Other contrasts, including hairy vs smooth, veteran vs newcomer, and pro vs amateur, accentuate the fact that wholly different worlds are colliding.

Best of all, for me, the 21-minute video is 99 percent wrestling holds, bodies entwined, flexing and flinching in raw and excruciating body-grips. Dirty Daddy is a master of such torments - both robust (over-the-shoulders backbreaker) and delicate (wrist locks), which UGW captures in palpably intense closeups. The outcome may be foreordained, but the fascination lies less with who wins and who loses than with Daddy's twisted professionalism and Cena's miraculous durability - Cena's rib tattoo reads "Relentless" (we'll see about that).

Every minute of this public execution is boner bait, yet it's unadulterated grappling that dominates every shot, which somehow manages to be uber-sexy without seeming to try. It wouldn't surprise me if Cena regrets getting in the ring with Dirty Daddy - and maybe, too, he shouldn't have given Daddy the finger, instead of surrendering - but despite the regrettable cost to his safety and well-being, it's the best thing he's ever done!

* Dirty Daddy made the association, lending a touch of 70s teen-decadence to the match.

  1. Ringside is always a great read but these recent posts featuring Daddy (in any and all his incarnations) are just exceptional.

Like yourself, I know the match will push all my buttons whenever I run across ‘daddy’ be it on W4H, indy federations or UW. I noticed ‘daddy’ recently used social media to report he was dealing with some sciatica issues so lets hope it does not derail him from destroying men in the ring for too long.
