Austin Tyler vs Wolf Boy and Tyson the Hammer, Match 673 - 2 on 1, Lost Video Collection (UCW)

"Captain of the Team" Tyler calls out Wolf Boy for a private confab. Wolf, he claims, is the reason the team lost the big game today. Wolf Boy begs to differ, but Austin's hearing none of it, so he starts stomping Wolfy into pulp. For the first third of this custom-made video, it's basically Austin, in a cold fury, squashing the team's supposed weakest link into the mat. But sometimes the weakest link has a stronger link for a friend. Enter current UCW champ Tyson the Hammer to even the odds. For most of the remainder of this 30-minute wrestling fantasy, Tyson and Wolf Boy together teach the team captain a hard lesson in watching who you pick on.

The story is well told, with no time wasted on exposition or subplots or character development. Clearly, Austin is a bully - a muscular bully, to be sure, and a smokin' hot one, too. Wolf Boy plays a fine victim - albeit a sassy one - and Tyson is the equalizer who may save the day ... or may go down in flames with his buddy. My synopsis stops at the 60-percent point, leaving the ending for you to discover.

Match 673 scratches an old wound and makes me mourn (again) the loss of Austin Tyler to the underground wrestling scene. For almost three years, he was dependably aloof and gorgeous at UCW. Now he's carving a place for himself in the big leagues. He's incredible here, yet the great news is that Wolf Boy and Tyson the Hammer represent a new wave at not only UCW but in underground wrestling at large - guys who like to rumble and excel at it. Probably the customer who ordered this match did not intend it as such, but Tyler vs Wolf Boy and the Hammer is a fitting sendoff for the smooth, caramel tan war god with the high ponytail haircut.
