Dance to the Beat

Cody Blayde vs Jaden Xtacy, Pride in Private 1 (BG East)

The middle event of Pride in Private 1  is a terrific male catfight. Cody and Jaden pull  each other's hair and tear at each other's limbs and gear, in and out of the ring. They are nicely matched, both young, colorful, and cocky. To my eyes, they look like skateboarders, at least the skateboarders I would see everywhere 20 years ago. 

Having made strong initial impressions at May's Wrestling with Pride, Xtacy against Trevor Read and Blayde against Bryan Idol, they obviously needed to face each other in the ring. Jaden wants to dance. Earbuds in, he bops to a beat we can't hear. Cody wants to wrestle. I'm with Cody on this one, though I love dancing, too. So does Cody, as we find out later. The match is a hybrid of dirty fighting and (briefly) go-go dancing.

The more heated the battle, the more aroused the wang. The match's overall tone is glib and nasty by turns, with rapid reversals, but the final five minutes gets sweaty and as intense as a barracuda attack as the boys pull out the stops for one last push. To cite the catalog description, "This fight is a stunner!"
