Rob Lias vs JJ Gale, RevPro Live at the Cockpit 48 (Revolution Pro Wrestling)

Jobber crowd-pleaser JJ Gale stripped off his T-shirt in half a second, but Rob "The Gob" Lias shed his vest with more aplomb. This early December match in London follows the standard model for events pitting a show-off-y villain against a young and unblemished rookie in basic black. Gale is new but not docile (as we can see in the fifth GIF above). Lias has a whole lot of fun riling him up and picking him apart in and out of the ring. Rob's baby fat makes him look snuggly, but don't be deceived. This dumpling can make you holler. I love the way he uses a gut punch to speed up a single arm throw (in the fifth GIF below). He offers moments of Kip Sabian-style hubris but with less sass (now, a Kip-vs-Rob match would be one I would hate to miss). Revolution Pro's roster is full of eye candy. Check it out.
