Doug Brandon vs Tom Flex, Flex vs Doug Brandon (Can-Am)

Doug Brandon bloomed as a heel before he beefed up. In a match patterned after Kick-Ass Bodybuilder Feud, the "mat sadist" martyrs body-beautiful Tom Flex, reemerging in the ring after his first stint behind the Can-Am cameras. Like the Perris-Stone classic, this video begins in the squared circle, goes for three falls, and then Brandon strips Flex naked, binds him with rope, and carries him to the oil  pit, where he releases his captive and the fight begins anew.

In my imaginary dictionary, I distinguish heel from S&M master, inasmuch as the heel grimaces and moans as if sharing the pain he's inflicting upon his adversary. Brandon's moves in the first GIF are part street fight and part jig. Brandon lets loose his enthusiasm for hurting this beauty, whereas I would expect a master to be more austere and dispassionate. Heel and master alike enjoy their work. A heel blatantly gets off on it. 

Doug gets off on hurting Tom. At times it appears that Brandon pictures himself in pain as a means of concocting new torments for Flex. He is more schoolyard bully than assassin. Schoolyard bullies like to be in the thick of the havoc - perhaps, as I suspected back in my schoolyard days, because they crave the body contact as a sex proxy. Maybe choking Flex is the next best thing to fucking him - or maybe it is the best thing.
