Breaking Jake
Jake Jenkins vs Braden Charron, Backbusters 2 (BG East)
In the year 2012, when the world was supposed to end (prophecies are always right - except for their timetables), this blog pretty much belonged to Jake Jenkins. I wrote about him 20 times that year, covering his matches and dissecting my reasons for idolizing him. For the past five years, he's been AWOL in the world of underground wrestling. It's likely he had given us all he had to give, which was a damn lot, especially noticeable (as such things usually are) in retrospect. Fortunately, BG East brings us this 26-minute match to remind us what the fuss was all about.
His adversary here is Braden Charron, another idol. It's Braden we see first, doing pushups against the ring apron. He enters the ring to strike some poses, waiting for Jake. Jenkins, when he arrives, comes bounding into the ring, all buoyant energy. He decides Braden's muscles must make him slow. Braden offhandedly slows Jake down by walloping him in the face and landing him flat on his back. Jake can't even get back on his feet without Braden's help, and even then he falls flat on his face again.
Braden whips Jake from turnbuckle to turnbuckle. Then he heaves him up in both arms and drops him across his extended knee. Jake writhes under Braden's boot, his back bearing the dark pink lash marks of the corner ropes. Don't expect the boy to mount any kind of defense any time soon. For most of the match, Braden plays with Jake the way my dog plays with her pink stuffed triceratops, only Braden uses his massive arms and my dog uses her teeth.
Lucky for Jake that Braden doesn't bite.

Damn, Joe. You just had to bring up one of my exes, didn't you? Jake Jenkins was my secret wrestling boyfriend for several years. He left me for Austin Cooper, and I then moved onto Eli Black. But my memories of his many matches, his beautiful body (does anyone on Earth have better skin tone?), exquisite suffering, Albert-from-Little-House handsomeness, perfectly delectable sweating, demonstrations of terrific wrestling skills while usually losing... Rooting for him to be squashed, yet wishing to jump in to rescue him. I miss him. Fortunately he left behind many, many matches. I do wish he had wrestled for UCW or Movimus, too, though. But I'll get by on my memories. And the plausible hope that BG East has one or two more JJ matches in the vault with witch to surprise us.

DeleteFew wrestlers I've seen are as much of an instant boner watching them get absolutely demolished. Jake getting squashed is just beautiful. I especially loved the tag match with Austin where that body just keeps getting worked over in a seemingly endless doubleteam move after move
DeleteUnfortunately, both hotties are now married (to females). Jake (Clayton) tried a comeback with Thunders that didn't go well, while Braden (Jules) seems still be active...
