Eli Drake vs Jordan Cruz, Shockwave, 1 December 2020 (NWA)
Last Tuesday NWA launched Los Angeles-based Shockwave, a weekly series on United Wrestling Network. Shot on September 15th, the opener finds a familiar face, Eli Drake, taking on pugnacious ex-Marine Jordan Cruz. The match is short and predictable like most show-openers, but apart from my qualms about rushing back to "normalcy" in the midst of an Old Testament plague, I am happy to see pro events that are this recent. Both Eli and Jordan are finely built enough to hold my attention for the match's full five minutes. Others sharing the card are Kamille, Heather Monroe, Mike Bennett, and Nick Aldis
Jordan has been on my radar for awhile. He's a nice kid with a ton of potential.
