Takeshi Oiso vs Tetsunosuke Daigo, IWE World Tag Team Challenge Series - Day 19 (International Wrestling Enterprise)

Oiso wears the dark trunks: Daigo, the light trunks. Daigo is the first of two wrestlers Oiso must beat in order to partner with the Great Kasatsu against another team the next day. If you ask me why this match turns me on - and it does - I'd say the main reason is the long grinding clenches that go on for minutes and are no sooner broken than reapplied. There are crisp body slams, too, and even some out-of-ring fisticuffs, but the larger portion of the match sees these two bodies knotted together.

I like triangular torsos with pronounced abdominals and iliac furrows, but in professional wrestling, there's nothing better than a tub belly with some jiggle to it. Oiso and Daigo are muscular and highly athletic, fast too, but their thick midsections suggest manliness to me. Neither man is out of shape by any sensible definition. These guys grunt and moan - their agonies dominate the soundtrack. The sounds of stress, suffering, and heavy breathing in the ring are better than any number of rants and mic drops.
