Christian Thorn vs Blake Starr, Oil Wrestling (Wrestler4Hire)

Here's an outstanding oil match that presses beyond the usual writhe-and-squeeze undulations to something more like a fight, with body blows and submission holds. It ends with a chokeout that is more heated than the usual sporting finisher. Not least among its merits is the solid work of Blake Starr and Christian Thorn, two wrestlers who have fought previously and who are well matched in build and fervor. Oh, and the thongs are semitransparent.

I enjoy watching ultra-fit guys show off their muscles, but I haven't yet warmed to the whole forced-to-flex formula popular in underground wrestling. Are there bodybuilders on this planet who must be forced to flex? Forced? Isn't that a bit like forcing a baker to bake or a NASCAR driver to step on the gas? Nevertheless, the joys of bulging muscle are limitless, so I'm not complaining, just wondering if there might be a more realistic way to integrate posing into wrestling.

Both Starr and Thorn are dynamos in the oil pit. Highly expressive, they bring drama to every match they're a part of. Grimacing is second nature to them, and their agonies are convincing and undoubtedly at times real. Their bodies are alluring, and both men are good at thrusting each other towards the camera to maximize the spectacle. It's taken me a while to get here, but now I am an ardent fan of both these wrestlers. Their previous matches have given them a level of comfort with each other's body to the point that their moves are more assertive than what we get when wrestlers are new to each other. These ease allows them to push the fight further, at times (as in this match) to seeming extremes.
