Sugar on Top?

Scrappy McNair vs Austin Sugar, Catalog 29 - Erotic Brutality! (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

This is Sugar's best look to date, though I did like his early mustache period, too. He's a better wrestler now than then, though I doubt that's because of his facial hair. He has been facing progressively tougher competition, moving from hotel room to wrestling ring to MBW's fightroom. His opponent, Scrappy, climbed the same ladder, but faster.

As some of you know, Sugar is a porn star, but this is a PG-13 match. The tone of the fight is set by Scrappy McNair, the most popular underground wrestler in the universe. Don't expect nudity, much less penetration. I'm not convinced either would add more heat than what powers this match's erotic punch. Austin is a new man here, holding his own against a capable opponent.

The better Sugar gets as a wrestler, the more I like him. He's as good or nearly as good as Scrappy, which is saying plenty. Scrappy and he both embrace the notion of erotic brutality. (That's not rape, by the way, though consensual rape-fantasy can play a role in erotic brutality. It doesn't, however, play a role in this match.) That fighting is erotic, especially when shirts are ripped off, is something I think everybody has sensed, but few will admit to.

MuscleBoy's catalog description praises the punches both fighters deliver in this match. I noticed that, too. Austin throws a mean (and sexy) punch. Toughness has progressed in stages for both men.  Scrappy leans towards cockiness, while Austin is all about intensity. In the opener, their faces nearly touching, the two men boast and bicker, Scrappy in English, Austin in Russian. Quickly, punches and backbreakers prove to be a universal language.
