Seon Cruz vs Rocky Sparks, Gut Bash 17: To the Edge (BG East)

Gut punches are sexy, but they have to be convincing. Both fighters must sell the hell out of each pulled punch, giving and receiving. Even if the punch is full force and the receiver has solid abs, it's important that he react to the blows as if his opponent's fist has penetrated abs, small intestine, liver, and lumbar plexus and exited the lower back. It must look and sound lethal even if it isn't. Seon and Rocky have abs that look like you could scrub laundry against them, and they know how to sell a hard jab to the gut.

Gut Bash 17 begins with Rocky lying in the center of the ring, doing crunches in preparation for the upcoming challenge. Seon enters and persuades Rocky to let him cuff him against the ropes. "You really think you can break my abs?" asks Rocky. Seon answers, "I really KNOW I can break your abs." Rocky admires Seon's abs as his wrists are fastened together behind him, but Seon is unimpressed with his "flattery." Seon starts off easy. Rocky smiles. Holding Rocky's chin, Seon lands some significant jabs, causing Rocky to grunt and flinch. Right arm around Rocky's neck, Seon delivers more blows, as much for the warmth of Rocky's breath against his face as for the mean-dog growling through clenched teeth.

For nine minutes, Cruz tenderizes, tweaks, and pinkens Sparks's upper body, up and down and front and back. When Cruz kicks him in the gut, Sparks gets mad. Seon presses his body up against Rocky's. Suddenly, Rock breaks free of his shackles and takes his antagonist down to the mat for the wrestling portion of the program, his knuckles grinding into Seon's flesh. Seon's response to the pain is orgasmic. I think somebody's been begging for a bruising this whole time. Sparks puts on his grappling gloves to deliver more pain, his thighs holding Seon in place by his bald head. Rocky likes being in charge.

Seon is not down for good, though. By now, boners have taken the creases out of both men's trunks. The eroticism of pain, giving and receiving, is, of course, central to this blog. No wonder wrestling, boxing, and MMA are worldwide phenomena. For some people, they're better than making babies.
