Fight Fire with Fire

Daniel Garcia vs Charles Mason, IWTV Tony Deppen's Bier Haus (IndependentWrestling.tv)

Twenty-three-year-old Daniel Garcia has built a career on being the tough guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Charles Mason is about the same age and disposition as Garcia, only Mason is a billionaire and looks down his nose at everybody, especially Garcia, who resents being talked down to. 

Mason is the kind of guy who will bite an opponent, as he does Garcia in this match. He's a creep, but a good-looking one with loads of money and friends in high places. He is egged on and assisted by Jon Alba, heel commentator with a penchant for interfering in matches and head of an exclusive stable called Prestigious. Everybody hates Alba. And in the end, Garcia squares off against Mason and Alba.

I love watching Garcia beating up on the snobby rich kid, especially a kid as devious as Charles Mason (not to be confused with but possibly intended to be confused with cult-leader Charles Manson). Four months later Garcia would turn heel, but in April 2021 he's basically a roughneck with a chip on his shoulder, a highly skilled roughneck with a taste for delivering comeuppance where needed. The comeuppances in (and after) this match are delicious!
