Ethan Andrews vs Scrappy, NHB Fights (Wrestler4Hire)

Ethan and Scrappy have defined underground wrestling for the last three years, yet the two wrestlers are opposites in almost every respect, physically, temperamentally, strategically. This mat match is essentially sunshine vs rain, hot vs cold, up vs down, which is what makes it interesting. The physical differences are obvious. Scrappy is compact taut muscle, and Ethan is tall and gangling. Equally tenacious, Scrappy is expressive, while Ethan is often poker-faced. Scrappy is unsystematic (scrappy, in other words), and Ethan is 100% strategy.

There's not a lot of chemistry between the two in this match, perhaps in part because of their physical and stylistic differences, but the match is interesting because we see two underground archetypes in such stark contrast to each other. Fans of both men will be able to predict the outcome from the start. But getting to the outcome, Ethan and Scrappy throw all they've got into the fight, and the sharp contrasts between the two are illuminating. There's a lesson here. There is no one model of great wrestling, which is both sport and show business. This match maintains that complete opposites can be superstars in their own right.
