Kevin Von Erich vs Ted DiBiase with Skandor Akbar, 4 November 1984, Tulsa, Oklahoma (Mid-South Wrestling)

Kevin wins, but this is not his cleanest win. DiBiase punches the ref while torturing Kevin in a figure-four leglock, and Akbar joins him to double up on Kev. The ref awards Von Erich the victory and disqualifies his opponents. Ted and Skandor flee the ring as Magnum TA and security personnel rush in to rescue Kevin.

The match is caught in a single long take from a position near one of the ring posts. We get memorable shots of Von Erick kicking ass and getting his ass kicked. He was 27 at the time of this match, in tip-top shape and thrillingly heroic. The roar of the crowd mounts like a looming cyclone. The YouTube video of this battle is a treasure.
