Hammered

Jonny could have phoned this match in, but he plays it for all it is worth. We see a classic Jonny situation, taking on a more muscular opponent and destroying him. There's nothing fair and square about this match. Even the ref plays the bad guy and jumps into the action to help Jonny, and he pays for it in the end. Jonny draws from his usual arsenal of torments and finishers.  His fight style is exactly what we expect of him - the comic heel - the Buster Keaton of the squared circle.

Braden looks great, by the way, as solid as if he were made of steel or granite. His screams don't rouse my sympathy. I suppose the reason is that the damn fool deserves everything he gets for stepping into the ring with Firestorm in the first place. Jonny stretches, twists, punches, steps on, and head-butts the bodybuilder, leaving Charron no room to defend himself, much less gain control. It may be little comfort to Braden to know that he looks like a thousand bucks throughout the ordeal, but he does.
