Eliot EverHardt vs Axel, Match 826 - Falls Count Anywhere (UCW)
Beginning with EverHardt's sneak attack in the parking lot, Axel and Eliot take their private feud through the front office, where amused but unperturbed fellow wrestlers look on, then from there to the big mat, where Zack Reno butts in and punches an incapacitated Axel in the jaw*, and ultimately to the long and hardcore struggle in the squared circle. I find this match immensely satisfying. Axel is in peak form as he fends off the devious Eliot. This is how boners get made at my house.
The grandness of the assault, the to-and-fro duel, and the spirited climax makes this one of the top UCW matches ever, maybe THE top match. Neither wrestler is phoning this faceoff in. Both men are alert and hot-tempered; even Axel puts his customary nonchalance aside and fuels the kind of trouncing and getting trounced that made him the jizz launcher he was in the early days of UCW. Eliot is a great new addition to the UCW domain, boyishly sexy and cage-fighter tough and relentless. He is a perfect fit for the company and a brash bête noire for Axel.

ReplyDeleteGlad to see Eliot performing again… just as he seemed to be breaking through to some indy feds a few years ago, he vanished.
Zach Reno in pink is probably the best cameo! =) we definitely need another match between Elite and Axel. This is definitely the Elite era of UCW.
