Awesome Randy Page - one of my earliest BG Enterprise crushes - takes on beefy Scott Mendel, in black trunks, who weighs 42 pounds more than Randy. They're wrestling in a ring, but their training is in college and Greco-Roman wrestling. The match is long and hard, but the guys never lose their sense of fun and respect for each other. Randy might have been the wrestler who cured me of my prejudice against smaller wrestlers. He is dynamite, especially in this fast, sweaty, and reckless fight.

How old is this match?
ReplyDeleteThe listed date of production is April of 1989, so that would be 33 years ago. Since sometimes older matches were mixed in with the new stuff, it might be older, but my hunch is that it's 33 years old.
