Gabe and Tanner take turns tormenting each other, displaying a variety of punishing holds. It's not so much a fight or a contest as a sexy back-and-forth display of force and control. Pain and mastery are the game here, with Ripley outmastered by Steele, then retaliating with resources of his own. Both men know how to hurt a body and steer it to its breaking point.

Macho sex appeal is at the heart of this game. Gabe has the obvious advantage - thickly built, cheerfully aggressive, a firm and capable disciplinarian. But Tanner is not a rag doll to be tossed and stretched. He fights back, even though he must be aware that any headway he makes will be answered with double the force. I'm drawn into the near-naked display of two distinctive male bodies, and despite the obvious pain involved, they wallow in it. As I have said many times, this is my definition of sex.

Underground Wrestler is absolutely on fire in 2023. Everybody involved is a master of his particular craft. It's a promotion that is reaching its peak right this instant, in a competitive field, too, and there's no telling how far it can take this winning streak. Miles and miles, I hope. And please hold on to that tiger-stripe string bikini.
