What Is the World Coming To?

Chad Daniels vs Axel, Squash Match, Match 869 (UCW)

I have never seen Axel caught this off guard with his pants down, not just figuratively speaking. Years ago, Axel (aka Ethan Andrews) crossed paths with Chad Daniels in 88Wrestling's "Kiss of Death" match. He kicked Chad's ass. When Chad showed up at UCW four or five years ago, Derrick Cole (and again the next year, here), El Fuego, and Nero Angelo kicked his ass out the backdoor. This match (part of the company's Lost Video Collection) occurred at roughly the same time. Now UCW has released it to the public.

At UCW, "lost videos" are privately sponsored videos, often never released. This match's sponsor evidently wanted to see Axel humiliated and destroyed, for what reason I do not know. Having a jobber like Chad do the dirty work is perverse but intriguing. Chad is boyishly good looking, a bit bigger and heavier than Axel, and clearly enjoying himself as he cuts the multi-champ down to size. He's not bad either. With training and experience, he could have been a contender for the UCW belt. He's shaggily sexy, too.

Axel doesn't enjoy the licking he gets at Chad's hands, but he looks relieved that he does not have to carry this match on his shoulders. Axel knows how to take and sell a punch, a stomp, a choke, and  a backbreaker. The guy's a pro - strong, versatile, and up for anything. He doesn't miss the irony in this custom request, but he takes it seriously. He makes Chad look good. As I said, he is a pro.

  2. I never ever believe Axel as a convincing heel (or as a champion... or as a top). But as a dethroned champ? Yes. As total jobber? Yes. (and as a cuckold? yes).

I love seeing him beaten, and the more humiliated he is in the match, the better I like it.
