Gentlemen Grapplers

Forrest Taylor vs Damian Pike, Gazebo Grapplers 25 (BG East)

Intensity is slow. If you want a fast fight, model it on ring wrestling, where speed and recklessness merge, and bodies are blurs between ropes that serve as vertical trampolines. By design, the BG East gazebo is more conducive to intense mat work, semi-nude bodies rolling over each other, limbs locked together like square knots and bowlines. Wide open spaces offer less heat than the Wrestleshack, which is sexy and secluded. The gazebo is semi-private at best, horizontal, surrounded by spindles that provide a degree of privacy as well as fresh air.

Pike jumps the gun when he pins Taylor early on. Taylor is not impressed and, as the more experienced of the two, won't stand for Damian's bag of sneaky tricks. Beginning with his first video for BG East with Lobo Gris, Forrest's style has been imaginative and reserved. He's changed a lot in just a few years - as many BGE recruits do. If he's bothered by Damian's roughhouse, it doesn't show. It stirs up ideas for creative punishments, which he gradually employs against Pike. Expect lip locks and spankings.

Forrest is the boss. Damian is the punk. They play off each other. They are anything but predictable. They both like to take their opponents by surprise. This kind of versatility makes the match come alive. They are great at catching each other (and us watchers) unaware.
