End of an Era
Axel vs Kal Conner vs Zack Reno, Match 874 - 3 Way Tag (UCW)
Very sad news on Instagram today. Axel and Mike are shutting down UCW. There's Match 874 (see the gifs above) and then the absolute last match at the end of next week. This blog has grown with UCW, so this news is kinda like a loss of a family member.
Appropriately, the ending of this three-way match is like nothing I have seen before. At UCW or anywhere. I won't spoil it for you, but kudos to the anonymous customer who outlined and backed this custom match. I suspect even he (or she or they) was surprised to see how this battle panned out. I'll tell you this much: it pans out unusually.
All three fighters occupy the ring, but young Kal initiates the brawl with an attack on Zack while Axel creeps out. Kal has the nerve to call Zack a rookie. For that, Zack scrubs the mat with Conner's face. He then turns to Axel to tag him in, but Kal isn't done with him, executing a reverse wedgy, giving the camera a closeup of the outline of Reno's staff.
Tagging in and out, the three stay feisty and reckless as fuck. In the last minutes, all three wrestlers occupy the ring, leading to a didn't-see-that-coming finish. It's hot, the camera catches it all, and that's all I'm saying about it.
My best to Mike, Axel, and all the wrestlers. I hate to see you go.

I, too, am shocked and saddened. I have adored so much of their work since the early days. They were prolific, and never redundant. I wish them well, and thank them for the years we had together.
ReplyDeletedisappointing news, thanks to UCW we saw Eli Black evolve and unparalleled rookie sensations like Aron, Jack Marino and Johnny Deep, UCW produced some memorable talent and Axel may be wrestling's underground GOAT, hoping we have not seen the last of him, BG East used to film something similar called Bratpack, filmed in a Braintree basement it matched the barely contained unbridled energy of the UCW cinder block garage only the young can emulate, here’s hoping someone else can fill the void left by the impending UCW closure.

DeleteUCW was my #1 wrestling site, hate they have to shutdown, it sucks! No other site was like this one, there something at UCW they had to make it my favorite. It was erotic, sexy, hot bodies, cute guys, no other site had this chemistry! Prices were reasonable for the fans! Muscleboy Wrestling would be great if they wouldn't charged so much.
