Zach Ramos vs Ty Alexander, Two Sides of Ty (BG East)

Zach vs Ty begins on a familiar note - two wrestlers facing off in the ring, the new guy claiming he never heard of Alexander. It's an unfailing way to get under the skin of an opponent, particularly a show-offy heel like Ty. Ty has experienced this provocation before. If I'm not mistaken, it's a gibe he more than once has used in other matches.

Ty messes with Zach's hair, another familiar provocation. Before Ramos can react, Ty clamps a side headlock on him. Like mussing or pulling a guy's hair, the side headlock is designed to frustrate an opponent, put him in his place, give the opponent a few seconds to hear the loud pump of a startled heart. Then - and this one's a classic insult - Ty plants his rump on his opponent's face.

Ty's too smart to sit there for long, and he follows this insult with an elaborate series of assaults, which show off his versatility. This showcase reminds us how far he's come along - from easy mark to big-league heel. After several minutes of this bravura display, Zach turns the tables with breathtaking swiftness. He strikes back, going so far as to peel down Ty's trunks, revealing two well-matched buttocks.

As I expected, the final minutes of the match are a rapid back-and-forth assault. The action teeters, giving each man a clear shot at victory. Sweat is plentiful, and there's a clear winner, as revealed in a lightning-fast ending.
