Ty Alexander vs Lobo Gris, Two Sides of Ty (BG East)

Three or four years ago, this would have been an entirely different match. Ty had one foot in the BG East ring and the other in independent wrestling. Lobo was debuting at UCW, winning fans with his piercing eyes, seductive lips, and irrepressible smile, on top of a thrilling ring presence.  Back then, Lobo would be the obvious safe bet.

The odds are even in this match. Ty has a weight advantage and the trial-by-fire experience of professional wrestling. Ty has new tricks up his sleeve, which he learned in the proverbial school of hard knocks. Lobo is hotter than ever - by which I mean both sex appeal and high-level technical proficiency. What at one time would have been a squash job, with Ty getting the squashing, is a legit back-and-forth struggle for dominance.

Lobo Gris has his work cut out for him. The new Ty Alexander is a formidable threat - in heft and in-ring psychology. Most of this match consists of Ty kicking Lobo's hot ass. A third of the way through this match, Lobo is worried. This is not the match he (or we fans) expected. The new Ty brings well-established dominance to the ring and a slew of big-show tactics, Can Lobo's underground wrestling experience measure up to the "new" Ty? Such tension is what makes this match an instant classic.
