Jakob Rawley vs Stevie Suave, Ring Rookies 9 (BG East)

A sumptuous shower of sweat and grunts as Jakob Rawley, Kirk Donahue's hunky cousin, squares off against Stevie Suave, who recently had his ass torn off by Manny Mendez, the fans' choice for winner in two categories - Best Ring Match 2024 and Best Overall Match 2024.

I like the pairing in this match. Stevie shows up, behaving extra cool, shoving his face into the camera lens. He winks in a casual show of confidence and anticipation. Jakob's entrance is super cool, his eyes gleaming with self-confidence.  He scoots under the bottom rope and points his finger at Stevie, universal sign for 'Your ass is mine.' Suave hands him a $20 bill to find a good barber.

The two lock up in the center of the ring. Stevie grabs Rawley's arm and throws him to the mat. The two lock up again. Suave throws Jakob a second time. In a flash, Jakob is on his feet, punching Stevie's chest and backing him to the ropes. Jakob forces Stevie facedown to the mat. He tries to roll the guy on his back, but Stevie breaks loose, breathless and staggering. Immediately, he throws Jakob to the mat. 

Stevie offers Jakob the chance to give up. Jakob tells him he's just getting started. Again, a lockup, ear to ear. Jakob shoves Suave to the corner ropes and lands some punches. Suave is exhausted, huffing, while Jakob remains cool. He charges in, but Stevie dodges the attack and bashes Rawley's forehead against the turnbuckle. Jakob retaliates, grabbing Suave by the throat and lifting him off his feet and hurling him to the canvas. 

Rawley isn't done with Suave yet. He slams him to the mat. Suave rises, but he's huffing and losing air. Again, Rawley tosses the guy around. He's kicking the shit out of Suave. Before Stevie can get back on his feet, Jakob tackles him, locking him in a scissors hold. He grabs Stevie's curly black hair. In a panic, Stevie grabs the middle rope, begging for a break.

In the next four minutes, Jakob bats Stevie relentlessly. Stevie escapes, but not for long. Rawley snaps him into a taut crab hold. For five whole minutes, Jakob OWNS Stevie. Stevie regains control, but not for long. Jakob tears at Suave's curly hair. The air is hot like this up to the end, with one man humiliated, screaming, sobbing, pleading, and the winner casually looming over him in a double biceps pose.
