Cough It Up, Punk

Punisher vs Machine, Mat Rats 196 (Thunders Arena)

Punisher is obsessed with his fellow Thunders wrestlers, specifically how much they get paid to fight. He tries to squeeze the numbers out of Machine, but Machine is reluctant to fess up.

On several occasions I too have wondered what muscle boys and wrestling men earn for fighting and stripping in front of a camera. Is longevity a factor? Does fanboys' loyalty count? Are wrestling experience and training figured into the equation? Do fighters have agents who negotiate for them? Honestly, I don't care, but now and then I do ponder such matters.

Both Punisher and Machine are relatively new to Thunders, part of the Arena's sudden surge of hotties over the last year or two. Newcomer Punisher is muscly and hairy. Based on just this match, I can't comment on his wrestling ability or sex appeal. He has weight in his favor up against Machine, who is slim, smooth, hot, and muscular and attracts fans largely on his smooth and well-carved physique.

The fight is about paychecks, but more importantly it's built on rip-and-strip models, always crowd pleasers.

  1. The whole payment tiers is a common pay structure based on wrestler's match sales and fan feedback. So a guy like Loki would be paid a few hundred more than a rookie because his matches are popular. From what I also know, the wrestlers themselves can also get a recruitment commission for bringing in new guys so the site owner doesn't have to deal with screening guys who apply to wrestle for the site online and coordinating travel logistics. The whole payment tiers system can also backfire though if a wrestler requests to get paid more but their matches aren't pulling average sales, a wrestler can choose to just walk and start their own WatchFighters or OF page.

    2. That's not how BG East worked. You were paid on the basis of how many matches you did and whether you were naked and had sex. BG never shared sales information with wrestlers.
